I distinctly remember carb icing being a factor in "the bond"

Thought I would toss my tuppence worth in here . ... amongst the trivial and jovial comments ... ..

On my recent roady down to South Oz from Sydney, I experienced a similar flat spot come lack in power on my nine .... It was about 5 degrees and faaaaaaaaarkin cold ....

The reason being I have put down to is shitty fuel.... I opted to put 95 Octane in on the previous top up and wore the concequences ...

Question is here .... are you letting her drink 98? .... If not, DO IT ....hopefully you will see some diff ...

Thus endeth my tuppence

And on the seventh day Richo ended his work which he had made. Decided resting was for soft cox, straddled the REX and headed up the old road.
And it was good

OK I'm off to go have a cuppa twinings with the 9 to try and woo her into behaving on the way to work this morning (it is 5 degrees though so shouldn't be as bad as yesterday ;) )

Perhaps I should move to WA... she was probably very happy in winter there!

Guess the local kwaka dealer is the best place to start re the carbie heater thing... though perhaps I could knit the carbies some little cardigans or something?

Thanks guys :kuda:

A long lost Nanna prepared this little de icing kit over a few cuppa's perhaps??

i never seemed to have an issue with my 9 down in tassie. Winter mornings where about 3c so it was pretty cold and never had an issue at all. I used to warm same as you, at least 2 bars. I always ran mine on premo (95 ron)
Maybe your just gunna have to open her up i am sure 180 in a 60 zone would be ok :kuda:

I'd have loved to come, but alas I had to choose and HG lost out. It's not another stinking Honda is it? ;)
