Re: What U Think Z1000?
thats not right dude... my 2001 carbie ZX6R has a handbook reading or 80.5kw, thats 108hp...
ive just seen articles stating power output at 92kW or 123.37 hp (
)
something is not right with your bike it its putting out 12kW less than normal

Re: What U Think Z1000?
maybe they did it in 5th gear?
either way it doesnt matter a poop, as long as you run it on the same one afterwards.

Re: What U Think Z1000?
Well from what i hear and read, and from memory.
The 06 636 made in the manual 128hp at the motor, a guy i know dyno'd one and made 99.9hp at hte wheel.
The 03-06 Z1000 at the wheel with a few trick bits (PC3, exhaust, air filter) has been maikng about 125-130hp at the wheels and a touch over 70nm at hte wheels.
I have heard the 07-08 Z1000 isnt actually as grunt as the older model due to from factory using smaller throttle bodies to make it bit smoother and more town friendly. So if it was making something around those figures with the mods prob be about right.
But all dyno's will read different, i have known a few cars to run on 1 dyno and give out 1 reading then run on another and this is the same few cars and they where all making 30hp more on the other dyno!

Re: What U Think Z1000?
Wattie's (now PC's) Z made 122-123 - stock as the day it left the factory - from memory on Tex's dyno. That's a Dyno Dynamics type that will typically read lower than a Dynojet dyno. As Wattie says it doesnt matter a toss as long as the same dyno is used.
However I also agree that 105 or so sounds a little low
even stock.

Re: What U Think Z1000?
Yeah Phil your right, i wanna get a custom map for mine and see wtf happens then. i will write up a bit more about my bike when i have that done with a dyno sheet too! But i am hoping to get at least 130hp, but i got a feeling the mechanic who will be tuning my bike has a fudged dyno that just reads out figures to low! But wait and see!
he was getting crims to 151.5hp with a few light BPU mods
