Looking good mate. You planning on doing the historic meet at Mac Park over new years?

Any time you want to come over and finish my bucket off for me, just give me a shout!! I took these photos in November 2006. It still looks like this. :)

Where do the rearsets go I hear you ask?
Note also the light weight racing "can" :D
Using common items found around the house, including a set of ZX9 Oberon pegs and the OEM ZX9 shift mechanism. Cant believe after 25 years they still used the same sized spline on a bike 9 times the size!

Dragged out a muffler that might go on OK if you want it . Need to weld a large washer onto the stinger and it can bolt onto it , like what I did to a KR . You got oxy at home ? Or bring the pipe up here . Will send a pic
Ummmm let me see

Well it has finaly come to fruition. Had a proper shake down / test session over the weekend. Passed with flying colors....Kind of. Should replace the shagged chain as it jumped the rear sprocket and made a bit of a mess that called a halt late in the day. Otherwise performed as expected.
Whilst there has only been mild work done to the engine it seems to work well with an increase of power from 6-8k. From its standard factory spec it is running a larger carb - VM25 - and a modified rg250 expansion chamber. I have opened out the transfer ports and matched the exhaust port. That is all.
The test run was completed on a Go Kart track and whilst this doesn't allow for supersonic speeds it was still a valuable learning experience in the way the bike operates and handles. Had previously done a few laps of my neighbourhood "under controlled conditions" but this was inadequate for true fact finding.
Once I work out how to upload video to you tube I will show you how it went. :D
Happy days
