Would you believe the zipper in my tent was starting to come off its tracks, so I took it back and got a new one! I'm ready for GP08. ;) :D

Well you lot. :lol: I've just purchased another tent for $45. ;) Its called the Grotto and looks just like the Road captains. 8)
O yeah this one weighs in at 7kg. :shock: Not leavin this one down there. :o I also will be buying an Rjays gear bag that's twice the size if the Venture one I have.
This just means i can carry more stuff..... Looks like its 50kg on the back instead of 20kg. :P

I think technically I am "hardcore" not "hard core" though... might need someone to clear that up, I'm not quite sure of the various definitions! :lol:

After seeing phils Grotto withstand gale force winds and rain at the Island....(Mine notwithstanding anything),
I had to grab a tent suitable for any occasion and weather. Go the Grotto.

Think the top half of an old western covered wagon and you get some idea of the Road Captain's portable abode, the grotto is the bit at the front where he let his house servants rest and recuperate. :D :twisted:
