i've ridden an '05 '02 and '00
None of then standard the 2000 street fighter the most different.
All of them were great to ride, the '02 with 81k and still going strong.

I would agree with smitty on the brakes.

My 05 model had shit house brakes.. Wouldnt stop for trying...

Mate i assume that the price is in your budget range, cause if you could spend more i would say go ride a 14.

Then tell me you still want a 12... Sure the 12 is a great bike, but the 14 is something special again..

Oooohh! I am quaking in my boots!!!! Watch out for those little drops of precipiation now Smitty!! They may stain that perfect green paint job of yours!!! How many Kilometres have you actually ridden in the last three years??? At least when I offer an opinion it' with some knowledge!!!

Now of course...YOU have never made a snide remark in someones thread have you now!!! Why don't you get off your high horse and go right some more bullshit reviews in your little car forum now Smitty!!! Maybe they might be interested in hearing from uninformed  Just for the record since you are being a pedant, what factual basis can you claim for your back to back test of the various models?? Same circuit/tyres/weather/time??? Hardly a fair comparison wouldn't you think!

My 06 brakes are dynamite.. you need to bleed them now and again, as with most brakes, but they do stop the bike.. so far anayway

Marty, his name is Yoda, learn from him  This is the internets, you dont have to back shit up !!

hell yeah !! just like a visit to the dentist !!!

Smitty - I test rode the original ZX12R in green ;) , when they were originally released. I found it to be very uncomfortable, the rear suspension was *way* too hard and actually hurt my back on the normal test 'loop' I do all test rides on. The brakes were very wooden - no real feeling at all. This sensation was not uncommon at all with the early 6-piston calipers, and the radial 4-spotter brakes are a huge improvement over the 6-spotters (only 2 pads per caliper ?? WTF ).......................and my neck also hurt from the wind blast !!

The only thing the shop guys wanted to know when I got back was 'how fast did you go'.....well it was a bit after half past 2 as I remember.........

The next test-ride was on an 05 ZX12R - and the difference was chalk and cheese. The improvements to the model over 5 years were really noticable - way better brakes ( which can be further improved with no effort), and rear suspension this time was not trying to pogo me over the bars. This was on the same test loop, so road conditions were same between rides. The throttle response was definitely not as *on/off* as the first bike, much more progressive and controllable. Having said that, I have since modified the MFP12 for advance curves and removed top-end limiter  , so as far as those things go, there is no difference between the infamous 'unrestricted' model, and the MFP12. Except the 320kmh speedo ...... ;)

Blue - mate I know you secretly still wished you had your 12 !!!

Once the MFP12 becomes a registered comedian  , nothing else will come close.........

Hang on a second Hoffy!! If you rode on Freeways and straights all the time, you'd want the 14 too!
