You could also try the ZXR400 rim but if its just to get some sticky rubber I used to run a Metzler MEZ1 and I think Bridgestone do something in an 18 as well. You can also get slicks if you want to go that far.mattyv74 wrote:Ps. anybody know about fitting an RGV 17" rear to these? Are there bettter options?

Re: Matty's new toy...
Well already thought about the 400 rim but I may evenbenefit from reducing rim width for the Kart tracks so a 400 rear isn't the solution. Really it's just about better tyre choices. Slicks aren't on the cards as our sessions are so short so don't want spend a couple of laps warming them up.
Will keep thinking on this one.

Could try a rim off an RS125 (road going) as they are 17" so you will have heaps more tyre selection & they are not huge by todays standards. you may have to fiddle with the fitting ie spacers etc + I think the sprocket is on the wrong side but could be mirrored as long as the tyre is fitted the right way it would be fine

Mind you that way better then bing being the "Pink Head bitch".
Yeah he finally came out & how a trundle round with Nan & Pop Racing(TM), Barstad was riding the poor little "2nahalf R" like a Friggen' Motard. It thing saw more angles then a "Politicians Pie chart".
The old School Vic Regs will be pleased to know Matty hasn't lost any of his roadcraft skills. But the Grass Shortcuts didnt help him THAT much.
I can see this is gonna get MESSY when he gets it sorted
