Put the Corsa 3 on the rear today .. Was a little concerned with the original D.C tearing up but didn't get any worse from when I first noticed to nude..Still gripped well just didn't last long .. Bout $45 dearer than a p/power but after looking at the USA Trumpy pic above..worth every cent.(anti static strip???????)
D C Steerer still fine..
any sponsership welcome Pirelli Aust...hint,hint LOL

Soundguy stuck some diablo's on his 10, and it the track day at EC, you could see 2 distinct lines up each side similar to the pilot power lines.
seemed to be where the compound changes. when tyre was clean and nicely scrubbed it was quite noticable to the eye.
as with the PP, i dont think it causes and probs. that trumpy pic probly got a bad tyre, or a puncture.
What do you mean Mr. Michelin that you won't warrant my rear tyre????
Mr. Rider, were you aware, that running your pilot powers at 10psi for 20 mins at 260 kph can compromise it's integrity???
What do you mean by integrity Mr. Michelin????
Like load of people we see at the local haunts, a lot forget that tyres actually need air in them!!!!
I remember a mate complaining about his new R1 handling like shit! I checked the tyre pressures and found 12 in the front and 16 in the rear!!!!!!!

You're presuming the carcass was flat after the tyre delaminted? Maybe it delaminated at the antistatic strip? (Which seems to be Michelin specific). How many of the people "at the local haunts, a lot forget that tyres actually need air in them" have their tyres delaminate on them within 1600km off the show room floor?

pilot powers are one of the most common sportbike tyres on the road, and this is the 1st time a delaminated one has appeared here.
pretty uncommon occurrance me thinks.

Triumph S3.
I don't think the delamination is common problem. Then they had their recall not long ago to address another issue.

Had the exact same thing happen with my pilots, only had about 2000km on them, was a bit worried at first but didnt affect anything so didnt worry too much more about it.
At least l now know why that groove is there...

Interesting to note a mate's Pilot Road 2's wearing the same "Anti Static Strip/crease" as the Powers after only 800km..
Doesn't seem to affect them though.
