Hey look, I'm a someone!

But seriously now folks, ....
Why Join?
I cant find any rides I can participate in, and if there is, they are not posted clearly enough with details of the how when and where, or riding experience necessary or how many going or what to bring, or whether I will fit in ok with my pink leathers on, or anything to make a new person feel more comfortable when deciding on a commitment or not.
I cant find anything about different locations or members locations, things that would make me feel more at home and less like an alien.
I cant find anything that is written up clearly, i.e.: not in a language/shorthand and an understanding that only comes with being involved with a/this forum for a while.
I cant say I have been explained information on any regular outings or events that I might be interested in.
And while I got plenty of welcome messages, still no official PM that might explain things and let me know what the club is actually all about.

Now dont get me wrong, so far I like what I see and intend to stick around long enough to work out what fucking planet you people are from. But I am strange like that, but I have felt that the forum is a little lacking in these areas. I am trying to be constructive not derogatory.
I ride a Kawasaki sports bike and I would like to feel that warm fuzzy feeling you get from being in a club of like minded people. But I am too old to race, (not that I will let any of you bastards embarrass me on the street) and I don’t have a nice new shiny 2007 model money pit, but I do want to be involved and I think many others would too, ........ if, it was a tiny bit more structured for newbie’s. And I don’t think that is the forum administrators job, it is the people who get the most out of it that should put the most back in

And something else that bothers me. Why is it that when you give your "two cents worth" you only get "a penny for your thoughts"?

We haven't dropped away Madkaw... we just read and throw things at the screen for stupid comments posted instead of typing.
When you least expect it we pop up...lol
Other than that i an lurking in the background somewhere...

even those of us who just throw stupid comments........are actually involved ...without your input...learned and well thought and dare i say more articulate than i .....the site slides into obscurity and disappears...so have a go at me and stop LURKING
Sorry Craig,
Do I know you....
You are lucky I have read this in a good way....

I give my input all the time..... (I can see Cath staring at me).....
Do you really want my Two cents worth..........lol

1. Tagging/ sticker offering is good. Good response. We tagged Josh Waters and his dad at Maccas one day 2 years ago.
2. Name dropping is good... Went to Ferntree Gully Kwaka the other day looking for something.. talking to one of the guys there ( who happens to race for Kwaka), I told him about searching on my site, he asked which one, he said " I know Phil" we started talking, he made me a good offer...
3. As for Rides.... If you post it...It will come. Just make sure you have stickers on you....
Not to many rides happening at Nelson Bay ( it's nice up there)... but Dave and Cath ride every weekend around the coast.... maybe you should contact them.

Victorians will come out of hibernation now that the warmer weather is back you watch. Rossi has his bike registered and Dan will be married and the bike will come out of the garage, Stereo will start singing again, all will be good in the world.....

Is that a big enough rant....?
I'll go back to watching now... I like to Watch....

Dan passed me on the freeway the other day on his bike.... its out and about but needs the gearbox fixed or something.......

I have been keeping an eye on the site for rides, mostly been too lazy to post a ride myself..... Next week will be in Tassie with quite a large group of Ksrc'ans but after that its GAME ON!!!!

Great ocean road in 3 weekends anyone?

Highway,
Thanks for the comments they have been taken in the manner intended.
You are correct in many things you say as a lot of the rides are "regular rides" and not posted each week.
I think familiarity has bred contempt and we need to get more info out there.
But please note, KSRC does not organise these rides or post them. Rides / get togethers are organised or posted by individual members and the forum is only used as a communication tool... (Legalities you know..)

You are quite welcome to post info and organise rides or ask about others as all are welcome and bike type and riding style has never been an issue.

The forum is only as good as the ppl on it and I think we have a great bunch of ppl on here with a lot of activity.
Like all these places, you only get out of it what you put into it..

Be at the Pie in the Sky on Sunday morning and there'll be quite a few KSRCians there riding to the new Kawi Shop at Gosford.
I know its a long way for you but I don't think we have a lot of members up your way...
A perfect excuse to have a member drive in your area... :-)

BTW, I don't have a road bike atm, only a race bike so for me, its only the track..

I like that one, can I use it ??

A couple of things - I think you are possibly the only KSRC member we have who lives in Nelson Bay - so as MK says, a good time to get a membership drive going up that way.......have you got any stickers ?? pm the Boss (MK), he will send you a shitload, and you can tag every bike between Fingal Bay and Lemon Tree Passage !! (god I love Port Stephens, all my Xmas holidays as a kid were up there...)

KSRC has a handful of members from Newcastle, only a couple are active posters, but I am sure if a ride was organised up that way, you would get a few punters turning up ? Even down here in ACT, the HardCoreCrew started with only 2 or 3 members, we have slowly (>2 years) built up the HCC to about 10 regular members, its been a slow building process but the rewards are worth it.....

If you can, try and make it down for the track day on the 15th, at least as a spectator - there is going to be quite a gathering of the faithful at the 'Creek, and the Xmas party afterwards is bounds to be full of .........surprises....... - and its a great way to meet a lot of the forum members..............This goes for any other lurkers out there as well, get along to the Creek on the 15th, introduce yourselves and party after !! mmmmmmmm Margaritas mmmmmmm

:P

Sorry to hear about the back, but keep up the good work on the missus; it'd be great to put a face to a name, and I have a feeling you might have a yarn or three for us young'uns :)
