Damn! :(

I am so sorry to read about your off and your poor bike.

Glad you are ok and hope you are back in the saddle soon. :)

What a shit of a thing. I'm so sorry mate. Hope you heal up quickly!

I agree with 99coconuts - don't despair, the damage may be much less than you thought - it's pretty hard to assess the condition of your bike after an off even when you aren't injured - the adrenalin has a way of making things like either totally fucked up when it isn't that bad, or "It'll polish out" when the frame is a pretzel and on fire! And you were pretty banged up, so who knows??? It could be totalled (and if so - I've heard that repaired 9s make excellent trackies ;) ), but don't resign yourself to it just yet, as it might not be that bad!

Take it easy and let your body heal itself. :goodman:

Shit !! Glad to hear you are OK mate, that could have been a lot worse. Good to see you don't bear any malice towards the unfortunate rider who took you out. I am sure he feels lower than a snakes armpit about the whole mess.

Ride days can be dangerous, and anyone who thinks otherwise is a tool. When you head out on a racetrack with a bunch of other riders, sometimes shit happens. Like you said, this week it happened to you - there but for the grace of God, you may have avoided this prang and then run up the arse of the Gixxer rider causing him to crash........and your recall of the lap prior to the prang is amazingly clear

I would suggest that actual club-level racing is probably safer than track days, thats not to say that accidents don't happen when racing, but the general skill level is a tad higher than your average track-day punter.

I hope you get back in the saddle soon, best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Awe man, now you really are slow and wobbly eh? On ya feet if not on a bike!

Sorry to hear mate, that back straight could easilly catch someone out if they are pushing themselves. I found I was gear changing over that bump to control the front, if the other guy was ragged he may have got a tank slapper and just ended up leaning on you - typical unpredictable, racing incident. Your attitude is spot on and will aid your fast revovery - positive mental attitude goes a long way.

Hope the 9 is repairable and you are back out there real soon.

Thanks all.
Photomike is spot on and thats my theory, that he possibly pushed too hard over the hump and got a little out of control. Would still like to hear the other riders perspective. I know that there were several ppl from Hangmore on the day and I have been watching they're thread all day for any mention of the incident. Have signed up there to request that if anybody saw it or knew the bloke I would like to hear from them.
Been out to the garage this afternoon and stared at the spot where the 9 used to be. :(
Also contemplated life with the upcoming KH125 :D
Vowed to use this crisis point to make change in my life too. 1) quit smoking 2) eat healthier 3) Appreciate my loving and beautiful fiance for more everyday ( this is after all the fourth time in 18 months she has had to come and fetch me from the Northern Hospital and nurse me back to health) She's an angel11.gif
I got a sweater for my birthday. I realy wanted a moaner or a screamer.

The SP2 with sparky knee sliders
And the GSX. Now I am not 100% that it was the GSX that hit me but...... check the damage to lower left hand fairing about where my pegs would have been if it was this bike (scratches under the bulbous bit).

No good at all Mate , but from your post it sounds like your head is still in good shape ,thankfully .
Time to crank up the KH and get back on the track with it

I can't stand sparky knee sliders , total wank and as you noted a distraction for others .
Ummmm let me see
