Sounds dodgey. Things like this must be resisted otherwise they grow.
What if you refuse your pictures being taken ?
On other note, our pictures are taken everywhere anyway (taxi, train, atm, banks, ...) so does it matter ?

No rumour mate. First I've heard about Mt Mee, but they had about 200 bikes pulled up on Springbrook one weekend taking photo's. I do know a few riders to have had their photos taken. Its to do with the cops claim of riders doing excessive speeds on the M1 that cops can't get the rego's of, they can try to identify riders/bikes from the photo's they're taking.

The real value in this type of exercise is in getting everyone flapping their yaps about it.
Don't know if I'd personally hang around while they took a pic...unless they can show me a piece of legislation that says I must, like with RBT or spot RWC checks...but even if they did take my pic - so what? Just goes into another database for them to fudge up and ignore.
The real value for them is psychological, and it sounds to me as if they've found a winner.

This sounds sooooo stupid........typical police.
If they pulled you over they would obviously take your rego number and check your license. So they know who you are and what you are riding. Why can't they just add a note to the database about the colour of the bike because if they get smoked on the highway all they are going to be able to do is say" yeah wellllll it was a (Insert colour) bike and it had two wheels" "okay people put out an APB for a (insert colour) bike" ................ Gee that would narrow down the search. Bloody tossers I say. (My apologies to any police on this forum.....suck suck...... LOL).
I say just refuse to have your picture taken. All they can do is arrest you and take your picture at the station

That sucks. I am going for a ride over Mt Mee on Sunday!
There is almost nowhere left here where you can ride without being badgered!
Bring on that new race track.

I have been over Mt Mee and back twice in a week (both times on the weekend) and not a handsome police officer in sight!
(Or an ugly one either!)
