I recently purchased an OGK aeroblade in plain colours from Kelens at Penrith. They had them on special. I paid $260 ish I think. I have always had AGV Xvent and Xvent 2's but I realy like the OGK and I loved the price.
It is comfortable with good vision.

Thanks for the info guys.
I was going to go with the OGK as I like its looks and ppl seem happy with it but I couldn't pass up a good deal and bought a helmet at Parra Kawi yesterday.
They had a few good deals, like KBC vr-1's for $139, the M2R gp's for $240 and AGV Stealths for $260....
I couldn't find any decent graphics in the KBC's, they only had red white and blue helmets in my size. The M2R also had limited graphics and the fit wasn't very good.
So that left the AGV Stealth, I found one in a Neutral colour scheme, black silver and white, in my size and after a bit of negotiating picked it up for $220....

My only comment so far is, its quite noisey... We'll see how it goes once worn in...

This mob:
http://www.bikesplus.com.au/
have Shoei TZ1s for $299 at the mo. (also have lotsa other helmets cheap- ad in freebie mag from bike dealers) Old model but half price. I ordered one Wednesday morning but haven't received it yet. Slack bastards took two days to send it. Only cost $20 to post. I ordered some Honda bits out of the UK a couple of weeks ago- ordered Friday, turned up Tuesday. It must be quicker to get things from the UK, rather than Melbourne.

Yeah in that Ride Magazine Helmet Noise test they ranked 16 out of 18! The OGK Aeroblade was 18th!MadKaw wrote:Thanks for the info guys.

Interestingly enough, even though the testers all ranked the Arai's as noisy, in the actual decibel rating they were one of the quietest!

Dunno why you would want to buy a used helmet. The polystyrene inside forms to the shape of the wearer's head. HJC Symax are around $470 new. I tried one on the other day and it didn't seem too comfy either. That's why I have stuck with the Shoei. Their flip up helmet is dearer again too.
