nice PK :)

I was speaking to the guy at the kwakka dealer yesterday (yep my favorite dealer) and he said that the zed has an exup system in the exhaust, so at certain revs it only comes out the one. What happens if you change the pipes?

He also said it goes really hard, but he said he thought part of that was due to the exup..

Shruods, rear fender and the screen all Ermax,
and yes the screen is very effective at higher legal speeds :)
Also the pastic side covers were replaced with carbon fiber ones cost a fortune.

spoke to my mate who works for the race team, they have just put a new z1000 on the "press fleet".

he has booked it for a while so he will bring it round and allow a cripple to have a go, cant wait.

BTW i did mention to Matho the other week when he was in the studio about doing a naked's test :P

I've decided that at the end of the year, that if I pass & graduate, I am going to reward myself for 6 years of slog, by buying a new bike.

Z1000 is looking like a strong possibility! angel8.gif

I love the ZX6r, but I don't think that I will be able to spend longer than 10 minutes on it before my back starts screaming. crybaby2.gif
Cheers,
Anne

Anne from my experience with the 07 Z1000, you'll be able to touch the ground alot easier aswell :)

Just checked the new Z1000
Very nice indeed and i don't mind the
new exhaust either, :) and the price is still as last years model
15,490 +orc :) but the only colour released for the 1000 is
orange & black, the 750 will come in a metalic green which looks very 8)
Now all i need to do is take both of them for test run. :)

saw them both yesterday, side by side. I've gotta say i LOVE the colour of the 750, but prefer the screen and indicators on the 1000.

While the exhaust looks pretty good i'd still ditch it for a 4-1.

here are some pics i took.

those exhausts are gHay!!

it looks a little over done, ver "streetfighter" rather than "naked"

im not sure...

i think a 10 with a Z1000 noce and no fairings would be cooler, dont forget the motocross bars...

I can understand kawasaki's phylosophy on this! I reckon when the orignal Z1000 first arrived, most who i knew all oooh'd and aaaah'd about it being a true naked sportsbike! It looked like the back end of the ZX6, with a nekkid front! Upside down forks and good brakes with wide tyres. All with an upright seating possie and nice comfy bars!!!

I just eckon this new one is more of the same. Just styling updates to keep it in the noughties! All in all they are still gunna be a comfortable frame flexing ground scraping sportsbike at best!

There are really only two questions in life. 1.Which way do i go? 2.What is the lap record?
