what if they made it fully transparent.... would that make you happy gos?Gosling1 wrote:Seriously ?You would rather share the road with something that has *nil* rearward effective vision ? How good do you think those tiny mirrors mounted up the front will be ? The cockpit isn't big enough to turn your head around and see what is behind you. That shitbox would have a *huge* blind spot.
I would prefer to take my chances with a normal cage than a new-millenium Quasar .....

Actually this has 3 wheels if you count the fold up one. And I've never seen a bike with a seat that size. A goldwing seat doesnt come all the way up to your head...unless your a masive short arse.MiG wrote:So do Gold Wings and recumbent bicycles. Bike = bicycle = two wheels. Looks like it has two wheels to me.

Gos, before you harp on about rear vision, take a close look at the bars of the Black Pearl
As for the 'scooter' stuff, I see no reason why that kind of bodywork couldn't encase any kind of bike. Put something like that (although more attractive) around a ZX10R and you have a hyper bike with really good aerodynamics. If there's one place a bike loses to a car at high speed, it's aerodynamics.
To the electric/coal/oil debate, if the government wasn't so hung up on taxes from oil we'd have really effective solar/wave and wind farms. The only issue for us would be how they made up the lost revenue. Perhaps they're saving up all the speed fines until they can cost effectivly reduce tax needed from oil

The very first Quasar (circa 1972 ?) had open sides, and it was possible for the driver (I refuse to call them 'riders'), to put a leg out the side and hold it up much like a normal bike.
But a normal bike doesn't have windscreen wipers

Very heavy but I prefer these sort of things to having shitloads of cars on the road.
