Which shop did you get it from Wattie? MAW? If so they're usually pretty good with shit like that.

I've got to go to Narellan Kawa today, you want me to see if he's got KBC tinted Visors?

Call the distributor and explain how you are an inch away from never buying another of their products, and bagginf shit outta them all over the interweb in a nice polite voice and see if that doesn't get you somewhere Wattie!

Personally, I wouldn't be such a soft cock  and take that as a plausible excuse from a shop! Tell the fuckers you will never set foot in there shop ever again, because they are being petty, all over a stupid fucking visor!!!! C'mon mate....you can get more upset than that can't ya?

P.S. I just went and picked up my new tinted visor for my new OGK! It's all clean and clear and just O'h so easy to see through

If it's faulty and they can't stand up and say yes it's faulty there are no scratches on it, replace it and then make the supplier replace it then that is crap...

I'd would basically take the helmet back and say, you either make the call to replace it or refund it.. That's the choices. You are leaving the state in the next week and you have to have the helmet sorted.

Tell them that you are going to go straight to one of their competitors, and that the difficulty you've had with their service has been noted and you have made mention of it on several sites who's members do deal with MAW.

I'll meet youout the front of the shop on saturday morning, kick you in the nuts, apply atomic wedgie and the slap you with the wet end of a smelly mop....then push you into the shop so you can get this sorted.

Seriously, you have to be hard with them, they screwed me over a while ago and i just went into the shop and went nuts, made sure the place was full of customers and certainly got things sorted, and a reasonable discount.

I won't go back there again, there cust service has turned to crap, should have gone to Helmet Warehouse....might be worth paying a visit and seeing what their visors are like

i use a KBC VR2 and have had a selection of visors, right now i have a silver one and a clear one, the little clips keep breaking off them but that is because i use a pro-grip anti fog visor in each one of them and sometimes it catches on the top when i am opening the lid. I have never had a dud visor, don't let them do it. If it is bad, discuss it as a safety issue and let them know in writing you want something done immediately. Mention that the visor has been bought by you in good faith, you don't have another and it could appear as evidence in court along with your letter of request for a new one.

Wattie, don't get soft in the middle of it mate. Remember, that under Australian consumer law, a retailer cannot legally sell you an item which will not fit the purpose it was intended for! So legally, if you bought a Helmet, with a tinted visor, and the visor doesn't operate the way it is intended making the helmet U.S. or inoperable, then you are entitled to a replacement or a refund in a reasonable time frame. If they refuse, start making some news in the retail showroom. Words like Unethical, Immoral, sneaky, underhanded, dishonest and untrustworthy are all ripper ones to drop in front ofthere other potential clients!

Remember, it costs them stacks to go to fair trading. So Just remind them that it only costs you $22 to lodge a complaint with fair trading, and you are more than happy as is your boss, to allow you the time to go and attend as many hearings as need be till you get a result!

went to MAW today and expressed my dissapointment.

asked again if they could give me a new visor, as i was going on holidays and required it.
he wanted nothing to do with it, said that warranty is in the hands of the distributer. and had nothing to do with him.
i told him that i would like a replacement, or i want a refund on my helmet so i could source a new one b4 my trip.
he assured me that a refund "would not happen"
i expressed my dislike of his customer service without swearing, but being loud enough that most people in the store could here him saying he didnt care and it want his problem.

he offered me again to buy another one, and then work something out later.

i told him that i would be notifying his potential customers on all the sites that i am a member of, and he said "if thats what you want to do then do it"
he wouldnt budge on anything, so i left.

i will try and get hold of the distributer on monday and see whats happened.
i dropped the visor off there 7 days ago, and it is still there. and nothing has been done.
i leave tuesday afternoon.

i am severly pissed off. and feel there is nothing i can do but wait.

BTW, as a point, he is responsible to make good on your purchase, not the wholesaler! It is then his responsibility to take it up with them. What an arsehole. 1.Don't go back, and 2. let's send the boys around

If you know who the supplier is, I would ring them 1st thing monday and calmly explain what has happened and what your situation is, and I bet they will be more sympathetic.
