Im sooooooooo jealous, first Blue12 buys the VERY bike I've been droolin over, now you and the Triton. My ex-boss's brother works for Mits and he had to take the demo out for fuel and swung by to show it off...................*sigh* didn't get to test drive it though.
But if I'd been screwed around I'd say F@#K 'EM and get a Toyota Hilux instead!

Weren't Mitsubishi in SA have the ones who were bleating about shutting down unless they got tax breaks, govt grants etc ? Tell them you'll take the story to your federal MP (election year) and today tonight or similar for good measure, see if you get a call back then!MadKaw wrote:I've rang Mitsubishi in SA a few times, there useles, and they keep telling me to follow it up with the dealer...
I just sent them an e-mail and will follow it up with a call tomorrow,
I'd rip up the contract but I can't get another car as no else has them. Mine will get here when the others do...

I like MrsBitchies - I've owned 3 or 4 - but if I were in the market for a fourby, I'd buy a ... ... ... ... Toyota.Ow, that hurt.
Tell 'em to stick the contract.

I'd be suggesting you get a Hilux or maybe another roady. This is from my mrs having a rodeo work car when i met her, and early last year she got herself a new hilux.
These cars are fricking NICE, she's got the stock wheels & a 4.0l petrol engine with a lot of torque, so they have a tendancy to swing out on you in the wet if you aren't careful. Having the larger wheels and/or T-DI would solve that problem.
She gets about 7.5-9km/l doing lots of stop start city driving (she works for local govt in the bankstown region). I admittedly had trouble driving and parking (esp reverse) the old rodeo, but this thing is ten times easier to park. So from memory the petrol consumption rate is pretty similar to what she was getting in the 3.5l rodeo.
Interior comfort level is good, lots of pockets in the doors, centre console etc. Of the 22kkm she's done in this car i've probably done about three, so am reasonably familiar with the car.
Seriously, give Toyota a call & find out from them if they've got any in stock. I have no idea about costings, as thats something i've never had to ask about.
Only thing to watch out for is that they give you the security code for your radio, michelles car was in the shop & had the battery disconnected for a week, resetting the security code for the radio, the fricking code wasn't in the manual when i went to reset it the other day!!!!

I just realised i think the security code fell out in the place we had kept the manual for ages, might check there tomorrow morning.
but r.e. the car being in the shop? that was a smash repairers after some lovely lady in a ford explorer reversed into the car while it was parked. Just took them fricking ages to pull their finger out and repair it (very busy smash repairiers im told)

That's shithouse Dave. Given that you're not getting it before PI I'd tell the pricks to shove it
Sounds like Mitsubishi must be getting ready to branch out into bikes (at least they've got the customer service about right)

Hey dave i Know how it feels I was told my F250 would arrive in 2.5 months & it took FORD 9.5 months to deliver .....cock suckers!
Yea they will take your deposit real quick! I told the manager at the dealership that spending 80k with them should justify some service!
Their idea of calming the situation was an $500 voucher for RM Williams
Fcuk that im not a kawboy & did not want to be!

I'd be giving them the old " make yourself available
cause I'm on my way to cancel the contract right now" and see what they say
