FFS I was released into society with a unrestricted license and promptly bought a HIII 500 triple when I was 17 and am still around to tell the tale.

Too much tut tutting going on here over some rule made by a public servant who really wanted to do civic planning but got MV instead.
Just one more law and everyone will be safe.

Anyone know offhand - if you convert your Vic P licence, still restricted, to NSW and you are over 30, does that mean you get an unrestricted NSW licence?

I ask because I may be moving there.

bike or car?

if car it depends on how long you've had your P's for, if over 24(isnt it?) months then you may go jump onto your green P's.

If for bike you'd be immediately elegible to go to your fulls.

e.g. i had my car p's when i lived in canberra, had them 18 months or so, moved to sydney when they still had 1 year car p's and walked out of the RTA with a "blacks" license.

which reminds me, i need to go to the RTA tomorrow or Sat and get my license renewed as it expires on Saturday. Which is gonna be a prick as im doing nightshift tonight and tomorrow night!!!

Don't worry Dave, that will never happen
