Valention Rossi in the WRC

Well like i said,i have seen them all and to me,none as good as Rossi.
How many times was he written off in races and still came from behind and wiped the floor with them,and in the process pulling fastest laps of the race on the final lap with shagged out tyres.To me that is skill.What about that time at phillip island when they gave him a 10 second penalty
and still they couldnt beat him.
Also i think one of the best personalities.
Doohan might be a fantastic bloke and a great rider,but to me he came across as a bit of a bore on interviews.
Gardener was prolly the least gifted in the riding department,but boy did he ride with his heart.Then you have the yanks,Rainey,smooth as silk and pretty reliable,same goes for Lawson.He was prolly one of the best development riders going at the time,thats why cagiva hired him to get an uncompetative bike competative(he did the same with the honda too).Schwantz was great to watch,but binned it a bit too much.Spencer was another freak although his peak was short lived and prolly burnt himself out too early...and he was a dork.
The other thing i admire Rossi for is he left the best bike in the field(honda) and went to a relative uncompetative bike(yamaha) and made it happen.Yes he does have a great team behind him,but bottom line is doesnt matter how good the bike may or may not be,the rider is the one that has to bring it home,and that he did.

For those with Foxtel, the NZ WRC highlights are on Fox Sports 2 as I type this. So far, Rossi has been interviewed and there's the occasional footage of him in action. He might not be up there with the leaders, but he's driving hard.
