The 130 speed limit is nothing man, i really dont know why you are bitching...

It doesn't ruin the litchfield or scenic route run so i dont know why it is a big deal. Sure it stuffs up the 2.5 hour drives to katherine but who cares... Bring on the demerit points and higher fines too, im sick of dickheads on our roads. I'm not saying im an angel either, but i usually keep my shennanigans to the track.

Also that sig of yours is pathetic, you obviously have no fkn idea mate.
NT was the last frontier and now it's a Government Cash Cow like every other state ... open speeds worked up there ... you obviously dont get it ... stay on the track where your skillz dont affect us.

Here we go....I can guarantee i have a much better perspective on it than you do, especially if you are living in QLD. I've lived in the territory for 22 years and have been driving on the road for about 8 years there.

Open speed limits may have worked, but its completely besides the point, no amount of bitching or protesting would have stopped the bill passing government. This whole thing was a major push from federal government onto the NT government behind the scenes.

It's a good thing that money is made off people doing the wrong thing. A lot of it is put back into the roads, im not sure about other states but it was partly the case in the territory. That being said there are some laws that are far too harsh. Although you find the people who bitch about this are usually the ones who keep getting fined.

The speed limit will see rise in fatality due to boredom, in which then the NT government will reduce the speed limit from 130 to 100 as a safety measure. There will be also 80 and 90 zones scaterred in one piece of road.

May I recommend aftermarket cruise control and stock of Red Bull when driving.
