The ones I enjoy the most are those ones where you don't actually mean it to come up, but it does it when going madly fast, and looks insanely cool. I reckon even 125 real rear wheel horsies is enough to do mad stuff like that if the bike isn't an overweight piece of lard. But 140+ is def addictive. Can't wait to test ride a 14!

There's a number of reasons I bought the 10 over the 6.

I originally wanted a 6, to commute around, the odd track day, and hit the twisties on the weekends. But the 10 has a lot more low down torgue, making it a more well rounded bike in my opinion. The fact that the frame isnt actually much larger than a 6 also helped. I can still throw it around to some degree.

That, coupled with a slightly higher price than the 6, made it an easy choice. If you hadn't ridden both, go try it.

What about the comfort between the 10 & 6 Im still trying to make up my mind which to go for. Ive sat on a 06 zx6 and it felt really comfortable but havnt sat on a 10 yet.

Much of a muchness. Both are sports bikes, and have that feeling. To put it into perspective, I used to ride my 10 2 and a half hours to work in Stawell from Melb. Not as uncomfortable as people say. Not as comfortable as a tourer obviously, but each to their own.

All I can say is go sit on a 10, I think you'll find they're very similar. You'll just have to learn to control the wrist action a little more with the 10

Just an ever so slightly longer reach to the bars on the 10. If you are over 5'11" it will be more of a benefit than if you are shorter.

i own an 05 6 and my mate has a 05 10

i was on his bike over the weekend and its more comfortable than mine.

i find my speedo is hard to see unless i am lying down on the tank and it seems a little harder on the wrists than the 10.
the 10 scares the shit out of me though so i am sticking with my 6 for a while yet.

Cheers, yes controlling the wrist action is another thing that does concern me. I think the 05" 636 has enough power and looks great, But looking at the price of a 04" 10 to a 05" 6 they are both roughly the same price. So I keep thinking go the 10 and get more value for money. I guess once I get my full licence I'll be making my decision quicker and also whats on the market at the time.

Is it that much more noticeable in power? Ive checked out a site which has performance time on it and they show to be fairly close, only a second differance in over taking area. I guess 1 second is a lot at 160kph. Now Im thinking 6 again .

The low down torque of a 10 makes it a lot more noticeable. But that's what I found. The 6 you'll have to rev more to get the most out of it.

having ridden all of the 06 jap litre bikes as well as the MV F4 1000, all i can say is strika is spot on.

i also had the opportunity to "ride them as the manufacturer intended" wow they are really just too much - i'm one who does not poses the self control to own one. like i said to the big guy after riding his new 12 "great bike - glad its not mine"

in saying that all the ones i rode were geared stock, i got back on the 9 and the zook was the only one that felt like it had more than my 9 up to about 6 - 6.5K. after that - no contest.

over 7-8 grand in any gear they are awesome

i really liked them all , cept the honda. we just didnt get along.

problem is, they make going stupidly fast sooooo easy. its all gonna end in disaster when mr hwy patrol sees you. i can get myself into waaaaaay too much trouble in second gear

If you think about it, there is almost as much difference in power between a 6 a 9, as there is between a 9 and a 10 or any of the other litre sports bikes!!!

6's are around 100, add 25 for a 9 and another 20 for a ten!
