Yeah I noticed that, bastards, so I wrote 2 in box (cage and Kombi) and next to it wrote +2 motorbikes!

I didn't do Jedi, cos Rove said everyone did it last time, thought about doing something different like Vampyreism but chickened out.

I did not wanna do it, but i did, went through and marked all the boxes for relevant questions but then realised I ticked instead of stroking the box
Not doin' it again, besides I really don't see what they will learn from this other than cross referencing data about you as you need to put ya name on it or it becomes null and void and a possible $1500 fine max.

So it seems a few people have tried to be "individuals" and screw up their census forms. Why?

They'll most likely just filter out your forms with crap answers and ignore them, it's not like any little public servant is going to sit there reading them having a chuckle or fuming indignantly.

But when they close your local school and you have to send your kids to one an hour down the road because you weren't counted how will you feel? Or when they decide they don't need to put the motorcycle parking in near your work place, because your form wasn't counted and so they didn't count that you ride to work.

You'll spit and fume about your local politicians, spit and fume about the bastards in "Canberra"...but guess what, they make their decisions based on this data and you missed your chance to have a say. And the only one who got a laugh out of it was you.

And don't get me started on the "Big Brother" crap...this data cannot be used for that. Plus they already have massive databases in different government departments, nevermind what the private companies are collecting about you...if you really want to get paranoid.

Because every question that was asked the Gubyment already knows
about.

My beef is its not just the Gubyment who will have access to this data
& the way I see it is other than the Gov; my life is no ones god dam
business

Actually, thanks to privacy legislation, although some departments may have the information, they aren't allowed to share it with other departments...so the ABS have to do the census to get it.

Fair enough...but the private sector collect what they want and sell it off anyway

Yes it is...

The government is supposed to be trying to do their best to advance the country..... They cannot do that without know who and what kind of people live there... Your life IS their god dam business..... Their business is your life...

Screwing up the sensis is not only criminal (yup... it is) it is also stupid....

Imagine if everyone filled out jedi as their religion, they have a duty as a government to recognise this as a religion, provide funding etc etc .... it wastes money...
The world is round. It has no point.

ABS collect the data and put it in a format, that they can then sell to state departments, for analsys for services etc.

So the information does go to other places, however, They cannot distinguish the information at a personal level, you're purely just a number, with millions of others..
