it's got nothin to do with scooter riders or the way they ride.
it's your attitude that's wayward, towards scooter riders, harley riders (you should see the way a v-rod can be riden), cage drivers, duane and myself.
you think it's OK to attack people directly, but not accept criticism in return. I didn't really have a problem with your original post, just seemed to be a bit of a generalisation.
Now i don't care what you ride or what anyone else does for that matter, just don't go abusing people. for whatever reason, whether it be they ride slowly and get in your way, or they offer an opposing argument.
it's gone way beyond scooters now, i suggest you go back and read the entire thread and actually take note of what is bening said, you might just learn something.

i lovvvvvvvvve sports bikes, and i got a bit anoyed when somone all of a sudden put me in the groupe of harleys etc.
i think that is what started ur attitude and ur remarks against me so considering me and that person sorted it out its ok !!
if i did anything wrong it was the genralisation, so here goes the politicaly corect virsion . . .
when i was riding the last 10 - 50 times iv been out there has been 1 - 10 scooters that have had a bad day and mucked up a lots of times !!!
HAPPY ???

Did the scooters themselves have a bad day? Or was it the riders? How did they muck up? What consequences were to be had as a result of aforementioned 'muck ups'?

certainly wasn't made to make you feel bad,
just think about what ur posting.
the subject "FARKIN SCOOTERS" isn't going to leave a lot of people thinking the thread's gonna have an objective overtone.

Now as for scooters, i test rode one for the very first time last week, and its easy to see why so many people ride them. Now i must agree that the ones which cant do the speed limit on the freeways are annoying, but hey we all atart somwhere..

In relation to the original post, about how irritating scooter riders are, can I just say that I used to ride a 150cc vespa, and I'd ride it like I stole it. (still respecting road rules, but I was very assertive)
The fuel economy (normally 2L/100kms) went out the window with me filling up with 98 octane every two days, rather than once a week like many other scooter riders. I believe the reason that 50's seem to ride in the gutter is because they probably think they ARE in the way, and are holding up traffic, therefore they want to let the other road users past.
They should ride in speed zones in which their scooter is capable, and many don't, which is a hazard to everyone. A lot of the 50cc riders are not really bikers, but most likely just using the scoot as an extra mode of t'port rather than the car. A lot of car riders don't think about what it's like to ride two wheels.
Scooters are great, and yes, it doesn't matter what you ride, it's still two wheels. And lastly, I got a speeding fine on my vespa. When I told people at work about this, they laughed their F**king heads off.
