Let me rephrase - rumour has it that there were some decent people exhibiting indecent behaviour.

(In saying that I wasn't there on Friday night, the stories about our dear Robyn may have been all falsified! :P )

A close, 33 y.o. friend recently married a wonderful, NORMAL guy. What's the big deal, you might all say? Well, she is an attractive, fun, intelligent, out-going girl. But she was single an awful lot of the time..and when she wasn't single, she was dating a creep, a tosser, a meglomaniac or a pathological liar. She was sending out all the wrong vibes, she was desperate for a partner, and finding all the imagined flaws in herself projected all of this out to the male population in the social circle in which we moved. All the good guys were either running away or turned away, and the pricks she hooked up with basically took advantage of her. So, why am I typing all of this? It took her a couple of serious years of singledom, acceptance of the beautiful person she is, a review of her standards in her ideal man, and the hardest of all, a move out of our regular social circle to meet her now-husband. They are exceedingly happy, nesting, and pregnant, and we couldn't be more happy for her :)

I know this is easy to type from where I sit, happily married. So girls (and guys) don't think I am preaching to the perverted please :) However, maybe maybe a move out of your comfort zone might help in finding someone?

Anyway, best of luck to all of you :)
Cheers,
Anne
