Re: Tires Pressures - Kawa v. Manufacture

2. Don't go too high (ie max 42psi - this is for 2-up with panniers full of lead and a barge-arse as a pillion.)

The magic word is *compromise*...........for a 250, if you are <80-85kg, then a good place to start is 32fr 34rear.

Over the last few days ive played around with the various ...

I took a pic for you. The spring keeps tension on the lever to allow the lever position cam to do its job without changing.

Thanks for the pic..

Took me a matter of seconds once I had the lever off.. I cant believe I didnt see the bloody spot for the spring.. I can be such a idiot sometimes ...

Yep I have a lock-out switch.. You might be onto something as I did notice the dial is now easier to turn.. Any idea where? inside the dial? around the edge?

Help - ZZR250 Clutch lever spring

I decided to change the clutch level on my ZZR250 as it was missing the end ball due to previous owners drop.

As I was taking out the broken clutch level a small gold/brass coloured spring popped out.. Bugger if I could work out where its supposed to go..

I put it back together and everything ...

The only reason i brought it up is that the Metz. on the front looks rather ..hmm flat at ...

Tires Pressures - Kawa v. Manufacture

With tires is it best to follow the bike manufacture guidelines or tire manufacture?

The ZZR250 supplement indicates 28psi for both front and rear. My bike is currently fitted with Metz. M-1 on front and Dunlop Arrowmax 501 on rear..

Both tire manufactures claim max. of 42psi does this mean I ...

Just keep the throttle steady if she starts to wallow a bit, don't button off, this *generally* will make a bad situation worse.......in corners anyway..

When In Doubt, Gas It Out......

Throttle control aint the issue.. I keep steady throttle thru. turns , actually im probably accel. thru ...

Re: newbie ZZR250 owner - advice please

I've never seen my bike get up towards the top end of the temperature gauge. Was the fan running OK? It could even be that the radiator needs a flush.

Went for a ride again this morning.. Fan is definately working fine.. must be the coolant as the temp is fine when im moving.. As soon as i ...

If my ZZR gets anywhere near that sort of economy ill be wrapped.

It stopped raining along enough to have a look at the blinker.. Globe was fine tested it on the ...

Ill have to go check the blinker globe and the radiator fan and coolant when it stops raining...

My bike is a '96 and it looks as if in either '95 or '96 they have ditched the fuel light..

Not too worry I only ever got around 220km on the Bandit and ive been told by various owners that I ...

newbie ZZR250 owner - advice please

Gday all,

Ive just picked up my ZZR250 after riding a Suzuki Bandit 250 for 6 months.
Very different feel to the Bandit but after a couple of long rides in the rain I had to have a fairing.

Couple of ?'s:

1. My right blinker doesnt blink. Just stays on. Left works fine.. Where is that ...
