Spoke to Peter at Kawasaki Australia Technical.
I've got to take my 9 to my nearest dealer and get them to confirm whether my bike already has the heater kit installed on it, if not, Peter said they will fix it! :D
So Wednesday it is off to Peter Jordan's I go and ...

I've been told originally there was a model recall because of this problem and I think in AMCN there was ...

IMPORTANT
COULD I HAVE EVERYONE'S ATTENTION PLEASE:
This post is not about running from the cops, speedlimits, or, for that matter whether a GPX250 can do 180km/h.
This is about a motorcyclist facing possible jail time. It is a very serious matter for that individual.
If I can contribute constructively ...

Yup, if it's just for your restrictions period, I'd be looking at a second-hand GPX.
Get it checked over before you buy it so you know you won't be hit with any repair bills.
Enjoy it for a couple of years and then pass it on and hopefully you shouldn't lose too much money.

Staintune is at Mittagong. Might be further afield, but I've heard they are excellent.
