Buying brake parts on ebay
I have a ZZR250 which I am trying to get on the road. The rear brake rotor is looking on the iffy side, could pass road worthy, might not. I have got prices off some wreckers and the best price so far is $65 posted. I have been looking on ebay as parts and noticed a lot of cheaper generic brake ...

Parts from the US
I recently purchased a 1993 ZZR600 and have been told by my mechanic I have a leaking water pump. He has done a temporary fix but suggested I look around for a replacement before it leaks again. I have got prices on a few second hand items and priced them new from within Australia but when looking ...

Essential Maintence Tools
I recently bought a 1993 ZZR600 and am planning on doing most of the maintenance in it myself (pretty well anything apart from rebuilding the engine/transmission). I am wondering what people deem to be the essential tools/measuring equipment/calibration equipment to have to perform maintenance a ...

Re: Looking for New 2nd Hand Ride
Do dealers in QLD need to supply a Vcheck or only a REVS and RWC? Would it be worth doing a Vcheck on any bike, even if from a dealer?
Unfortunately I cannot stretch the budget to $5k but might be able to get it out to $4.5 if the bike is right. You are right in saying that the extra $1k opens up a ...

Looking for New 2nd Hand Ride
I am looking for a new 2nd hand ride on a limited budget. I live in Toowoomba but am planning a shopping trip to Brisbane to have a look next week. My budget is limited to around $4k and I have had a look on the net and plan on looking at a couple of bikes from All Bikes at Slacks Creek (ZZR-600 ...

when I owned a chain drive bike, I would clean it every 1000kms or so using kero, chux and a toothbrush.
As for lube, I originally used a wax (cannot remember the brand, have the remainder of the can lying around somewhere but then I tried mobil chain lube which I got from supercheap for $5 a tin ...

If it has Mikuni carbs like my GNs- there is a tube which can be seen at the bottom of the carby bowl- it hooks up to a tube in the bowl that makes sure the carbs don't flood above a certain level- it's a safety thing- it shouldn't flow fuel ordinarily- either your float level is too high, needles ...
