Re: Cheap Head Job Turns into Expensive Head Job

The holes are for the air injection for pollution.

I'm an engine reconditioner by trade and agree 100% with what others have said, get it cleaned properly. The shops that I have worked in would clean the head up before quoting. The die grinder with wire wheels was also a good idea, but take it easy ...

Re: Vermeulen to miss US round.

CV seems to be, from what I see on tv anyway, one of the nicest blokes in world championship racing, he never puts down his competitors, a true sportsman like bayliss. And I so want him to do well, especially on the kwaka. But this last injury is such a big blow just as he was getting on top of the ...

Re: Tap & Die Sets

Bloody hell That is cheap.
If it is just for cleaning up theads I would get the $12 one. The only thing I found strange was the "alloy" does that mean that the taps are only good for tapping aluminium, I doubt it, but,
seems to have all the common bike sizes.
may even get one my self

Re: Rossi admits Ducati hard to handle

I have a look on YouTube to see the Rossi pass on Gibernau again. It looks ever worse than I remembered. Not only did Rossi try for an early apex and ended up hitting Gibernau fairly hard but he continued to push him right off the track. I kind of remembered it as the hit first and Gibernau ...

Re: '00 ZX6R rear ride height

I have the same model, I had the suspension done by a well known bloke, and the bike handled terrible, had no feeling in the front. Was advised by someone at a trackday that this model did not like being stood on its nose which is what the susp tuner had done, I put the forks flush with the top ...

Re: Rearsets, it pays to Shop around

They look a lot like their CBR 250 rear sets I was checking out for my racer, decieded to go the step up plate to save some cash instead, glad to hear that they are good quality if I end up getting some when funds are in better shape.

I heard that it is not coming to OZ. that would be a shame.
This should be the stock one IMO with an even hotter "R"

Re: Malaysian MotoGP TV coverage

Being on at midnight did not worry me, thats why god made VCRs and as I spend 6 months of the year in central Australia for work I dont get to see the races as we cant get ten out there. I like the pre and post race chat they used to have, just seems to be a lot less of that now.

Re: Malaysian MotoGP TV coverage

does anyone else think that Ten and ones coverage of motogp is shithouse this year. Most likely I think because Fox can no longer show it so Ten and one dont even bother trying. They didn't even show the rider post race interviews the other week.

Re: Crutchlow to Tech 3 - MotoGP

I think Cruthlow is a great racer, but I dont think he will be as strong as spies was in his first year, I would have like to see Iannone or one of the other moto2 riders get the spot and Crutchlow to stay in wsbk for another year.

I have used a soldering iron and a piece of old fairing to weld to good effect before, but I like the lego acetone idea, I will give that a go next time.

Re: Anti fog insert & RainX, what's the go?

Like wayne said, I have used cat crap (dirt bike and road) and it seems to work for a short time only, I like rain X, but for rain only and dont wipe your visor clean, it seems to take the rain X off, better to rinse it with water.
