you can get the parts you need from the UK, the site is called twinshack.com. I have a mate that checked them out while he was over there and says they seemed ok.

When you resolve this please let us know.

Sounds to me like one of your coils might be loose, i had this in my ZZR-600 once. I loosened the terminals when i changed the plugs, it rode fine for a while then started getting real slow with huge bursts of power.

They are offering better times for $20 from Newcastle to Melbourne.....return too.......So a return trip from Newcastle to Melbourne is $40.
It would cost that for fuel to newcastle and back (from Sydney) in the car these days.
