Re: 2004 Z1000 Missing??
Thanks for your help.
The filler cap was not under pressure but appreciate the tip.
Down low it is missing terribly - like it will cut out - so have not ventured too far. Higher up the rev range it behaves normally.
I am a bit puzzled - but thats not hard to do!

2004 Z1000 Missing??
Howdy, hope you can help me.
I have a 2004 Z1000 in good nick and well maintained. A few weeks ago I took it on the toy run and it ran hotter than normal with the slow going. Later that day (after it had cooled for hours) I washed it. Just started it today and it idled a little odd. Took it round ...

Re: ZX9R Air Intake Water? bottle
Thanks everyone. Great advice all round. Those nasty steel plates are gone for sure next time.
Just one further question. How do the water bottles drain, should I have emptied it?

ZX9R Air Intake Water? bottle
Howdy, I just changed the front left rubber indicator mount on my 1998 ZX9R. It required the removal of the side fairing and also what appeared to be a water catchment bottle that connected to the left air intake. The water bottle did not seem to connect to anything else and I would love to know ...

Re: Some ZX9 Basics
Thanks for the help so far. I have been looking at pics on the net and noticed that the bike looks like the 1998 variants rather than the 1997. Checked the rego papers and they say a ZX900C. Checked the net and the VIN appears to be from the "C" series too. The rego papers say 1997 model though ...

Some ZX9 Basics
Howdy all. My 1997 ZX9 has a hesitation just above idle. Any ideas about the cause and how to rectify it?
Also wondering about the basics of setting the suspension up for my weight (76kg) and tyre pressures.
Any other advice to a newby would be appreciated.
Thanks
