Wow that's a great offer mate, thank you.
Prefer not to be responsible for other people's stuff though so I'll see how I go. Organised a new tyre for it so I'm $300 lighter so I'll see how I feel in a few weeks on whether I buy a stocker from the us or a new shock outright.

Re: ZX12 rear shock repair/swap?
Sorry long time between logins.
I wasn't saying that $100 for a replacement shock is expensive (although as mentioned it hurts my brain to think that I'm paying $17 for the shock and nearly $90 to post it!), I was meaning that I've spent $100 and it's just money down the drain as it's another stock ...

Re: Flat spot & miss at low rpm
Pulled the error codes today.
Key on: FI light constantly on.
Bike idling: FI light constantly on.
Small RPM increase: FI light constantly flashing, no discernable break.
2500rpm+: FI light off.
None of these seem helpful as the book doesn't show anything for a solid light or constantly flashing ...

Re: GPZ900R Antidive issue
All good advice. As I mentioned some are simple and some can be very involved :)
Custom triple clamps cost a squillion bucks. By far the cheapest and most effective way to adapt a different front end to any bike - is just replace the centre stem on the bottom clamp that you want to use (i.e. - the ...

ZX12 rear shock repair/swap?
Hey guys
Rear shock on ZX12 (B1) is on the way out. Reco is cheap but I can't have the bike off the road so I need to buy a second shock to reco and then swap them over.
Can get one from the states for $17... but it's five times that for postage  not to mention the total cost of $100 is ...

Re: GPZ900R Antidive issue
Unless you are insistent on maintaining originality, you should look at a fork conversion.
They have quite commonly been converted with front ends like ZZR600, ZX6, etc. Depending on what you choose you may only need a few spacers machined, other options might need more involved things such as ...

Re: Opinions on Lowering kits
Personally I'd recommend against lowering it. I'm barely any taller than you and I've had various big bikes with no problems. I remember my first 250 I never thought I'd ever be able to ride a big bike but now I'd never consider anything smaller than a ZX12R, Hayabusa or ZX14(R).

Re: clutchless downshifting
I've owned something like 15 bikes and clutchless shifted up and down on the road on every one and I've never had a sump full of engine or transmission parts.

Flat spot & miss at low rpm
My bike has a terrible flat spot from ~2100 to ~2500rpm... it feels like you're about four gears from the wrong place. If you're in a low numbered gear (like 1st) it is a little flat and then lurches when it hits 2500 and rides 'normally' like you'd expect. If it's in a higher gear (eg. very low ...

Zx12R - radial master upgrade?
Hi guys
Looking for a tipoff on a suitable radial master to use on a B1 ZX12R (has 6-pots).
My conventional master needs attention so I may as well upgrade while I'm at it.
Donor bike / sizing tips would be appreciated... prefer to get something off another OE bike that I can get for beer money ...

Strong numbers, basically identical to my slipon/pc3/k&n 06 12R made.
I'll get a 14 one day, once I've wasted too much on the 7R

Re: 2009 ZX-6 Handle bar snapped, then rider crashed
you would need to get an independent engineer to investigate it
if it was proven that the bar snapped first and was not damaged by a previous accident/drop then you'd have comeback against the manufacturer, or if there was damage from a previous accident/drop then you'd have comeback against the ...

Re: Bike Cam - at Aldi
I'll be keen for one of these. Wonder how they go with vibrations etc? I suppose if you mount to helmet not a problem but to bike/tank/screen/bars? Wonder if it does sound?
Alternatively... what does a non-aldi option cost?

Re: Interesting Kwakas that get good mileage
yeah i don't want something that old as it needs to be daily transport and I have had my fair share of old bikes... one of my favourite bikes ever was the gpx600r and I would love to 'streetfighter' one some day.
