Re: Engine oil query ZX14R
Just took the bike to the Kawasaki dealer and he recons because i use the bike daily for commuting to work it may be a bit chocked up. He recommends giving it a blast up to 10000 rpm and working the engine a bit to clear out the carbon build up. If it still ticks then bring it in for a valve check.

My ZX14 R is just coming up for a 24K service. I currently have Motul 300v 4t Factory Line 10w/40 oil in the engine. I have recently developed a ticking noise on tickover and during running at low revs (cant hear if it present at high). Does anyone have any opinions on what oil may stop this ticking ...

This bikes a must just stick a set of Yoshi's , a power commander 5 and a K&N air filter and the thing is mental, i thought i had the grin factor with the ...

Re: Pom heading for Oz
Maxman,
Pity you had to change your plans, its a great life. Mind you living in Melbourne is just like the UK at the moment never stops raining but hey the summer is coming which brings the Moto Gp and Superbikes, two more reasons to just take a chance and move over here. Perhaps Mr Dundee could put ...

Re: Pom heading for Oz
I was posted to Darwin from the UK in 2005 and me like yourself decided to bring my bike over (Yamaha YZF1000). Personnally i would never do it again, not because of the MPH/KMH facer changes or marking up as there are no other diffrences but mainly because of the import problems at this end.
