Re: Post apocalyptic KSRC. ROLL CALL.

Pop in like every couple or three months. Not much here.
Still riding, no Kawasaki at the moment (tho it's just a matter of time) sold the last one to Strika.

Re: bike idling but dying with throttle

Fuel has gummed and blocked the pilot jets in your carbs.

Common issue for a bike that sits for a long time with a float bowl full of fuel.

Try spraying carb cleaner into the float drains but 50/50 as to outcome, you might need to do a manual carb clean.

Re: My 1983 GPZ750E1 Turbo

Nice bike. Had me one of them and an XN85 turbo Suzuki both new in the past.

Strangely, the Kawasaki is the better bike (just) but the Suzook seems to be winning the classic bike financial appreciation stakes.

Wish I still had both.

Re: Stoner's alternate reality

Go Stoner, proven world champ and hard at it for another.

WTF, it's only a world championship! Not like world level sports are stressful or anything, why would you get upset over such trivia.

Really, good on him for getting it off his chest! I love the way he brings it to Vali in particular ...

Re: Rickman cr900

Here's what they looked like fresh & standard, cast wheels where the big wad release of the day. The alloy tank in your pics Zedd is in fact a Rickman optional extra, on the standard model above the tank is actually a very ugly squarish steel box under that fiberglass cover.

Re: Head first into a Shark

Spent the week riding to work and back with the newbie lid. There isn't any where near as wind coming up through the front as the old one. Between the chin curtain and the massive cheek pads the wind is kept at bay. The cheek pads are really pushing in. At the moment they are actually pushing so ...

Re: What is a "Motorcyclist"? What defines it?

I think taking on challenges is also part of being a true motorcyclist. Like when you head off for a trip and it pisses down the entire way. Yet, rather than give up and head home, you dig deep, concentrate and make every bend, stop or pass a challenge.

Finding ingenious ways of getting your bike ...

Re: What is a "Motorcyclist"? What defines it?

Youve just gotta love riding a contraption with 2 wheels and a motor. Categories like dirt bikes and road bikes and scooters and cruisers are meaningless if you have the love. I would take any thing motorcycle like for a spin for no other purpose than to experience what it is like. Sometimes I get ...
