I know this is a couple of months on, but I'm sure there will be a few people reading this thread still. So just to add my 2 cents, here what I've coughed up for my gear:

Shift Textile Jacket - $250
Kevlar Jeans - $145
Falcon Venus Leather Riding Boots - $180 (They're womens boots)
Shark RSX Helmet ...

Thanks heaps guys. I like to get people opinions on who they've dealt with etc but yeah the cheaper guys do seem a bit dodge but coz I have no riding experience and im under 25 the bigger guys are asking a ridiculous amount. Sounds like QBE might be a goer though hahaha

ok well i had a look at her this afternoon.....very tidy. Couldnt take her for a drive because I cant actually ride yet but hey! Offered $4500 for her so we'll see what happens

They sound like they'd be great under the leathers at a track day, especially a stinking hot, sweaty track day, like EC is famous for in summer.
I hate trying to get in and out of leathers when I'm all sweaty. I'm going to have to check these out.
