So, turns out that the vacuum line is probably the wrong size for the bike, so that is one issue causing me grief.
The other problem is a "flat spot" between about 9,000 all the way to 14,000 RPM, which is either a carby balancing issue (best case scenario) or leaking valves or overhaul of valves ...

Unfortunately not, not in Melbourne, but the latter point is the valid one. After some earlier mechanical issues which caused much consternation and discussions with the kind folk, I've decided its not worth the hassle again.

Just picked up a 93 ZX2R-C from Sumoto in Melbourne (haven't had a chance to search this site for other opinions on Sumoto, but can only assume that they would be similar to mine - and the term "glowing report" is the last thing on my mind.....) and would appreciate getting a PDF copy of the manual ...
