i know a few bikes with the flip plates, they've had them now about 3 years and to date have not been fined by the cop's. Pulled over a few times but to date no fines

Lets say that someone wanted a lisence plate that could be moved or conceiled with the flick of a switch for the sake of... um.. bike shows. Where can you get these devices? I have heard of them, but for the life of my, I really can't find anything online.

yeah but the christmas eve law on the stickers is still very much in the air, the latest round by the MCC still really goes no where

Most bike shops sell the stuff, and alot of us here have used it to maybe someone still has the suppliers phone number.

PLASTEX hehehe great stuff repairs anything and actually works.
As for the prep work go speak to a resprayer and ask them, most will tell you what they need and how to do it. Doing such will save a few bucks.

The Age (today) carried an article on FNP and in particular the tender. You said previously that all states have to agree. Why? Doesn't NSW have exhaust labelling laws that are different from other states, Vic has the 3km tolerance for speeding.
