So after god knows how many years away from this forum for a variety of reasons (5yrs I think), no reasons to do with the forum or the members, I'm back and was reading through my old posts.
WOW. You can tell from this one, I was not in a good headspace. Its amazing what a bit of counseling, plus ...

Re: Unmarked Police motorcycles set to patrol Qld roads
Just thought i'd let everyone know... the unmarked bikes here in QLD are actually the exact same make bike as the normal marked patrol bikes...
I've had encounters with two of them
1 X Silver
1 X Maroon
Both Yammy FJ's.
both with hidden LED blue & red lights... but te lights are bright enough ...

Re: Getting a ZX9R going again
Thanks Oldman...
I'll give that a go...
I'm terrified I'm going to miss something and the bike will pack it in and reagrevate the injury... if that happen, I'd never heard the end of it from everyone... ranging from the Neurosurgeon, the mother & of course the mrs...

Getting a ZX9R going again
hi y'all.. been at least 2yrs since I last posted in here... and sadly almost just as long since my beloved 2002 ZX9R has been on the road.
history... a couple yrs ago, I ruptured the c5/c6 & c6/c7 discs in my neck, plus fractured the C6 vertebrae.
this resulted in 1 month straight in hospital ...

Re: Building your own motorbike work bench?
arc welding.. poor (could do it to save my self that's about it)
mig (which I own - gasless) not too bad. I can get a good bead.
I figured there would be lost of cutting, welding, grinding and painting.

Re: ZX6R 05-06 Replacement Chain & Sprockets
Rob,
as someone who is terrified to do anything to his bike other than wash & clean it plus lube the chain, I would like to thank you for such a concise, easy to follow, well written article. You now have me willing and wanting to go change my own chain & sprockets! And for that I am truly thankful ...

Building your own motorbike work bench?
Does anyone have the plans available that they are willing to share on how to build your own hydraulic or pneumatic operated work bench??
I want to build my own, unless it's cheaper and easier to buy one.
Can anyone help me out?
Thanks.

Re: Decals
If it's a really special bike, why not get the decal airbrushed on?
then they are smooth and can have some flake added for special effect?

Carbon parts
Does anyone know if body parts from other Kawasaki models will fit a 2002 ZX9R?
The reason I ask is I have just received a list of carbon parts from a manufacture over seas, but they only make one thing for my beloved 9. However they make plenty of things for ZX6, ZX10, ZX12 and ZX14. So i was ...

Re: Unmarked Police motorcycles set to patrol Qld roads
I have been saying for years if the Police in ANY state want to slow drivers down then be visible, just like what Saki & Gosling said. I even got the chance to say that to the District Inspector for me area. He claims that being hidden would slow people down as drivers/riders would be wary. I ...

I worked with quite a few texans while in Iraq and still keep in touch with several of them... They are different to other Americans.
They do class themselves as texans, not Americans.. apparently texas USED to be it's own country back in the day, so that mentality has remained, hence why most ...

Re: Skins
I buy the under armour from www.eastbay.com. I play American Football, so I get my stuff from the states and Under armour (UA) is great for football. One thing I noticed with UA after wearing skins is that the stiching in skins and BCS etc holds your body better... HOWEVER if you are a larger guy or ...

Re: Skins
Just one thing to remember... When I was in iraq.. We were banned from wearing any form of skins or under armour (stretchy lycra shit) etc incase we got caught in a fire from the bomb blast etc as the stuff melts on to your skin... So I am guessing...if.. sorry when... you come off, if it's fast ...

the mrs and I thought it sucked... We know it's a copy of TG UK.. BUT... to even have the same set, a airport run way for testing etc.. it was tooo much of a copy. There didn't seem to be much aussie flavour. The 3 presenters are complete tossers and seem to have forced everything they did. piss it ...
