Well, it's almost time to grab another bike again, it's been almost 6 months since I sold the Zed and I am missing riding like nothing else!

My budget is going to be approx $5-6K, and I have short listed a few models to check out, the ZX9R being one of them.

Question re the pipe - how is the quality of the pipe, and can you remove the sticker from it? I've been thinking of changing my silver Yoshies on my Z1000 for a carbon pipe(s) to match the black them I have going .These pipes keep popping up fairly cheap and ...

Do you need to pull them apart totally to do them or is it simply a matter of masking them up correctly?

And what temp did you bake yours at?

Well, as some of you know I had a short stint on a 2008 Busa while my 03 Z1000 was being fixed, but sold it once the Z was back together. However, I ended up keeping the exhaust off the bike, a set of Racefit Growler slip ons.

I have wide ABM bars on and for me its a wide, low position for my short a$$ (5 ft something, can't remember), so I can't imagine how much of a reach the flat bars are!

As for the rear sets, go the powder ...

The 03 Z had the same problems, a lot of people (myself included) put a ZX10 shock in the back and it helps a lot, I am not sure if that would work on an 09 model, though it would be worth a search. Another popular mod is a 636 front end swap, although you more than likely going to a similar spec ...

Nice bike mate, those suckers look good in orange! I DO think the Z was a better looking bike though.

Some info in the latest AMCN, they reckon its now 1049 or so (off the top of my head) but STILL based on the old ZX9 engine, power up a few KW and a few re styling cues.

My son has the mag and has run off some where, so I can't scan it in and post anything or even quote off the mag!

These look interesting. For those that own one, it mentions it works with "up" to 4 blue tooth units - I assume this is all at once (IE can have phone, GPS and other headset all "synced" at one time?).

I'm sure i've seen that on the Southside of Brisbane.

Nope, not the same bike - the paints only 3 days old! One of our members here had a Z750 in a similar colour, not as sparkly as this one !

Hey all!

Well, here are some updated pics of my Z.

I needed to get the tank repaired (long story, see a previous thread) and this was the second attempt at it, so I decided to get the bike painted while I was at it, as you do! I had just sold my Hayabusa to keep the Z as I could not have two bikes ...

Now why would you want to go and do that?????
