Check your state legislation but I understand that it is legal to fit a camera to your helmet that does not affect the integrity of the shell. But I'm no lawyer so check for yourself.
And yes I agree that motorcycle cops are retards. Like the one I saw at the bottom of one of the hills on the way ...

Re: GPX750 - Fuel Tank Gauge sender
Thank you, CMS were the only ones who had one. But at least I have a new unit for the new tank!

GPX750 - Fuel Tank Gauge sender
Hi All
My GPX750 resurrection hit a snag on the weekend - got my lovely new tank back but discovered it has a six bolt fuel tank sender not a four bolt. Seems to have changed between years. Does anyone have one or know of any other models where there is cross compatibility?

Re: Kawasaki 1987 GPX750R recommission
Tank shots, pick it up Saturday. I'm disappointed I didn't take a before shot as this tank was bright blue, had about 8 layers of different paint on it and had a crappy liner in it!

Re: Kawasaki 1987 GPX750R recommission
Thanks for that, I'll have to check I have the same connection point!
You should see the GPX next to my CBR1000F from the same year. Seems that as Honda got bigger Kawasaki were heading the other way.

Kawasaki 1987 GPX750R recommission
Quick question for the learned brothers.
On the GPX wiring loom there is an earth connection that comes out of the main loom just near the rear of the tank. I am a little confused as to where this attaches. If anyone has any tips I'd be most grateful.
The recommission itself is coming along and ...

I think I missed the part where we went from Kawasaki to Suzuki? Are the parts cross compatible?

Re: GPZ 750 1984 restoration project
I've just my GPX750 linkage. The roller bearings are fairly standard and you'll be able to get them from any bearing shop. Also check on the Cradley Kawasaki site parts book and if they list them you can still get them from Kawasaki. The seals are common across the range. The sleeves may be more ...

Re: GPZ 750 1984 restoration project
You can check them by dismantling the case and looking at how much movement in the piston. Mine were both frozen but I managed to free them up a fair bit with some penetrating oil and persistence. They occasionally show up on ebay (very rare and expensive). As noted just work around them with oil ...

Re: GPZ 750 1984 restoration project
Very nice, I am going to do a KR250 in that green colour next year.
I like the GPz750 in the black. I must get mine out of the back of the shed and fix the leaking carbie and do the float heights to improve the cold starting.

Re: GPZ 750 1984 restoration project
Have you tried findapart for another tank? Maybe a cheaper option.
Hopefully the 900 isn't off to a breakers. It surprises me how few 900's you see. I have one but I don't think I've seen another in Brisbane, well on the road at least.
