I did mine twice when I had my zx9 twice. Got stiffer springs the second time. Drag racing on wednesdays killed them.
Like madkaw said it's a 3 beer job, that's if you drink fast too.
Just remember to soak the fibre plates in a bucket of oil the night before you start

'crash Knobs' are the best because they use an elaborate bracket system that goes under the radiator, mounting to the engine mounts is apparently not a good idea.
They are expensive, but they saved all my fairings when i had a little mishap with them on.
bah! The 10r is fine for pillioning. As long as they manage to hang on anyway. I have a mate who loves to be pilly on my 10, we do 2up highway wheelies and navigate city traffic as well. Obviously it's not so comfy back there, and if you want to do twisties at and feel safe your going to have to SET ...
