I pay $1032 for the ZRX @ 21 years with maximum no claim and no licence losses.
The cheapest quote for full comp on the R6 (2000 model, $7k value) was $3200 - f@%* that!

Re: Tourist Trophy Times
For the guys that are still doing this, just a reminder that when we did this comp, Frog stated in the other thread there was to be no times posted by doing the race in arcade mode.
I don't have the game anymore (have the ps3 though), but if I remember correctly arcade mode lets you increase power ...

Aprilia makes some wonderful bikes but....
It takes retarded amounts of time to get parts when something goes wrong. 6 odd weeks or more without a bike isn't my idea of fun.

Re: Couple of Q's for the ZRXers out there
I have a kaneg stand and don't have too much trouble with it.
I tend to pull the bike up by the gear rack (the part where the grab rails go) as I push down. Once it gets off the ground that bit the rest is pretty easy.

Re: ball park service costs
I used to ask these kinds of questions and wonder why people never gave a real answer. Maybe some other guys will be able to tell you but from my experience:
If you take it to dealer, they'll do the oil and filter and maybe air filter at the 18,000 minor and so you'd be looking around the $100-$150 ...

Re: Michelin road 2 tyres
My suspension set up is pretty much hoffy's set up with a bit stiffer front and without the flipped eccentrics (i'm not heavy enough to need the extra clearance and can only flat foot one foot with the eccentrics as standard).
I ran BT54's prior and the front was very sluggish but stable, rear ...

Re: Michelin road 2 tyres
I just did the first 300km or so on my PR2's, the rear is fabulous, the front feels like crap. It's being a twitchy bastard and likes to headshake on the other side of 100. It actually feels extremely good mid corner, sticks like shit to a blanket. For some reason the middle feels a bit crud under ...

Re: Michelin road 2 tyres
I just threw a set on the ZRX today. Had a set on the R6 and they took everything I threw at them. I'm extremely happy with the way they perform and am so glad I finally got rid of the Bridgestones.

Be aware that in QLD you will get reamed by the police if you have an integrated tail light/indicators.

Re: Summer Jackets
the Dri-rider tend to be longer jackets. The Ixon stop at the waist like most leather jackets. As the waterproof liner is inside the jacket the water gets through the jacket, stops at the liner and the runs down your body...to your pants, which then get wet.

Re: Summer Jackets
I use an Ixon Sismic jacket ($250).
Waterproof liner and winter liner. Personally, the waterproof liners on the mesh jackets are useless as they make all the water run down your pants and also into your gloves. Nothing beats wets.
