Pillion seat lock won't unlock! Please help

Hi guys,
I have a 2010 Ninja 250R and I'm having trouble popping the pillion seat.
When I insert the key, it will only go in halfway. The key obviously won't turn and I can't get the seat off!
I haven't had any problem with it before this and I opened it without any problem 2-3 weeks ago.

I bought a second hand ninja 250R last year. I always found that it's weird that the seat cowl doesn't lock into place at the rear. Then I found out from browsing some forum that it's meant to lock into place via the rubber grommet that people commonly lose. Anyone know where I can source ...
