Re: ZX7R Forks onto a ZX9R

My Suspension guy did work for Kawasaki Racing and now for Honda as their suspension technician and he says that the 7 does have preload adjustment.
Quite possibly true, as previously already mentioned, the ZX7RR as run by race teams, does have preload adjustment. The ZX7R does not

Re: ZX7R Forks onto a ZX9R

I am somewhat confused by this talk of no preload. My Suspension guy did work for Kawasaki Racing and now for Honda as their suspension technician and he says that the 7 does have preload adjustment. I am also not sure of what sort of tool people may be, but in my shed full of tools, I am yet to ...

Re: ZX7R Forks onto a ZX9R

I'm pretty sure what Marty was getting at is that a well set up 46mm zx9 fork is a perfect match with the 9 frame allowing it to work properly, you'd have to be going pretty hard to get them to not be fixable for your liking afer a seeing to by a reputed suspension Guru. MicK Cole would be able to ...

Re: ZX7R Forks onto a ZX9R

A Sense of humour? That'd be fine if you knew me or I knew you... my question was a serious one and maybe, just maybe, I have had a day dealing with dickheads and took your response the wrong way. I apologise if that is the case...

So in all seriousness, I ride the bike for business... it is my ...

Re: ZX7R Forks onto a ZX9R

There is nothing really wrong with the existing forks, but I am advised that the internals of the nine will fit the 7 fork legs. We are looking for more rigidity in the top of the front end and less unsprung weight. But I am unsure of the lengths of one compared to the other.

Shit hey! :shock ...

Re: How far CAN you lean a 12 ?

As I was there, I can affirm that frog did NOT drop the 12... I can also confirm that he needed 5 rolls of dunny paper to clear the mess.... oh... and he still couldn't keep up....
