Re: ZX9R streetfighter airbox hack

This may have saved me buying a new fuel pump for my standard ZX-9R C1. I've recently had problems with my bike splutteing like it's low on fuel. I changed the fuel filter and drained the float bowls with no effect. Thought I'd have to have the fuel system cleaned or buy a new fuel pump. Then I came ...

import duty

It's easy to get caught out 'cause the rules change all the time.
Currently, as long as the total value (goods plus freight cost) is < $1,000 then there should be no duty or gst charged. It's the same if you bring stuff in from a holiday overseas. Technically you could get charged gst + duty for ...

Good Deal?

I've always gone for my rides wearing a mesh jacket and draggin jeans cargo pants. However after reading here that mesh garments are not all that good I decided to fork out some dosh for a leather suit, to be used at least for those faster and longer weekend rides. I did all my measurements and have ...

I'm assuming it must have been the battery.. A friend gave me a hand to get it home last night with the aid of a spare battery. I went to supercheap today and got a new battery and it seems to be working fine now after a charge.

My bike (ZX9R C1) uses a sealed battery so you're not supposed to ...

1998.. I think the battery is as old as the bike.
I read in the manual that if you don't have enough electrolite it can cause sedimentation and cause a short in the battery.. What does that mean?

No electrics

I have a problem with my ZX9 today. I took it for a short ride to the shops with no problem starting it. In fact I rode it every day this week. Went into the shops for about 10 minutes and come out to start it and there is absolutely nothing electrical working. No ignition lights and not even ...

LMAO i can't believe so many people fall for the marketing crap. The latest and greatest brand motorbike helment will barely help your precious brain any more than any bicycle helmet (which actually doesn't provide much protection). If you smack your head on something, your brain is going to smack ...

8) Go the 9..

Welcome

Yep, I almost shit myself the first couple times I did an unintentional wheelie. If you have the throttle all the way open and the rpms at about 8,000 the front wheel will just come up. I think they aren't bad as a learner bike as long as you have common sense and self ...

Hello my friends

I've collected so many ksrc-au stickers over the past year I've finally decided to join. I'm from brisbane and ride a blue 1998 ZX9R. I often ride to work (can often see my bike parked in the city) and go for a ride almost every weekend with some regular riding buddies. Hope to meet a few of you in ...
