Re: Gday Lads

Yep :) already thought that through! Gonna get as much riding and road experience before I get something with a sh*tload of power that I don't know what to do with.

Re: Gday Lads

Cheers mate!
All good with the licence, no hassles at all.
Taken the bike for a couple of thorough rides. Goes really well. Chasing a little more power now so think I will look for something a bit bigger when I'm off my Learners.

Had a little bit of a fiddle with the idle control knob tonight in the dark as the bike is idling very low, so I tried turning the knob so it idled a bit closer to the 1300rpm but every time i put the throttle on, it would ...

Re: Gday Lads

G'day and welcome.
Do *NOT* paint the rims white. They get filthy very very quickly and it's extremely hard keeping them looking good if you ride regularly. You'll spend a lot of time cleaning them, and/or a lot of time looking at them wishing they didn't look so grubby.[/quote]

Haha :)

Re: Gday Lads

WELCOME SAM, probably the best thing you could do for yourself is to buy / obtain a workshop manual for your bike ...it will help you identify everything on your bike & help you to understand and maintain it.
it will pay for itself 10 times over.
cheers pete

That sounds like a pretty great idea ...

Re: Gday Lads

Ok. Not long till I go for my licence :)
I had a bit of a play with the horn to see if I could get it working...
I checked the connections, didn't work;
Took the horn out and tested it on my car battery, worked! ;
Put it back on bike and checked to see if I had power coming from positive wire, I ...

Re: Gday Lads

Alrighty, went and looked at the bike today, no signs that the bike had been crashed, and it rode pretty smooth all the way home.
I am in need of a new rear tail light cover though, as the old one fell off the other day (shouldnt be too hard id imagine).
And everything else on the bike are in very ...

Re: Gday Lads

Just spoke to the bloke selling it again, and he said that it had been dropped lightly on one side and only has very minor scratch on one of the exhausts and one of the handle grips, other than that its all good, has never been in a crash and always serviced, but ill definatley check over it all ...
