Nice work. 100,000km is a decent milestone!
1. Valve clearances? Last adjustment was 30,000km ago according to history. Not an overly complex job if you are OK with tools. If they were done 30,000 odd kms ago, they may be OK or only a couple might be out.

ZXR750 100,000km Service
Hi all,
So my 750 is on ~99,250km right now. I've never owned a bike with kilometers this high so I wanted to ask anyone who has any experience with similar 750's or even other kawasaki's who've been through 100,000km a few questions. I'll start first by saying I've got full service history of ...

IMO, B will have a moment applied equally across the 2 bolts, whereas C will have a much larger moment applied at the further bolt, which will mean that your bracket will have to be overengineered on the mount side to compensate for the different strength required on the other side.

Re: ZXR750 L1 Tachometer/Electrical Problems
Hi Brian,
Definitely great to meet you as well! No worries, I now have a spare if I need it. I think you could be right about the relay, the signal wire which has the square waves coming from the pickup coil is going through the ignitor unit, so replacing that might yield some sort of result ...

ZXR750 L1 Tachometer/Electrical Problems
Hi all,
I'm trying to troubleshoot a couple of niggling issues I've got with the bike, basically I have a tacho which is not registering revs, once in a while it skips up to what I would assume is the correct rpm but dies back down to zero within a short amount of time(few seconds give or take). So ...

ZXR250 starting problems
Hi all,
I come asking for some help with diagnosing a problem with my bike. I've got too many things in mind and maybe someone with some experience with this issue might know!
I have an '89 ZXR250 which is giving me some starting issues.

Re: zx2r won't start when warm
I have one of these, take off the tank and check the connector to the rectifier, if its burnt, you'll find your rec is overcharging. The standard one is not exactly the best, and can be replaced with a mosfet one with a little bit of fiddling, alternatively, you can stick another rec from a later ...

$150 for the alternator, shoot me a PM, it's all yours, it's just taking up space and I'm not going to use it...

Re: ZXR750 Charging issues.
Replaced the alternator with another unit from Southwest Motorcycle Wreckers, and problem solved.
Bike charging and running much better now! However... my headlights don't come on anymore... I think it' an unrelated issue. Need to go back and check fuses.

Re: ZXR750 Charging issues.
Thanks!
Let me know if you need a hand with your street fighter project, I have a spare 7/8" flat bar lying around you can have for free, and I've drilled my top clamp on the 250, so there isn't much to it, also bought the risers locally and got them within 3 days.

I found an alternator from a '93 zxr750 at Southwest Motorcycle Wreckers, you can give them a call and see if they have carbies too?

Re: ZXR750 Charging issues.
Awesome, thanks for that! Much appreciated.
I would've preferred the original in your face colour, but this is in your face enough! I think the person who decided on the paint scheme wanted to go the '95 WSBK Muzzys zx7r scheme
