Re: Anybody use nitrogen their tyres?

I've used nitrogen in race tyres. The main reason is that nitrogen increases the tyre pressures at half the rate of compressor air. That is, if while out riding, your compressor air filled tyres rose by 12 psi due to ambient/road temperatures, load, riding, grip level then your nitrogen filled ...

With a face this pretty, you really want to make sure it's hidden behind the iridium :).

Re: Intro but not much of a noob

Been here a while. I thought I'd bump this just to prove, at heart, I'm a KSRCian despite not owning a single Kawasaki. This is on Mick C's old bike though, and it goes with the sticker on the tail.

Re: has anyone played with Pirelli supercorsa ?

HaHa awesome mate , he is a big bear  No offence meant Gos . :kuda:
Unfortunately for me, looking at Gos is pretty much looking into a mirror that shows me what I'll become in 10 years. 'cept with more Suzukis.

Re: has anyone played with Pirelli supercorsa ?

.....Gos I think it was your suspension or pressures. Maybe the torque of the twelve???.....

May have just been the torque I think. The pressures were good and the suspension had been sorted by Laurie Smith prior to this trackday. Could have just been me as well, this was only my first double ...

Re: What's wrong with this picture

I find your ideas intriguing and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

What's wrong is you're using a carb balancer on an EFI bike. You need one that looks identical to what you have except has EFI BALANCER written on the backing board. EDIT: ;).

Nah look forwards to seeing if this helps. Bleed ...

Re: Archie, My 1990 Lucky Strike RGV250 VJ21

Bit of an update, No blown crankcase seal, just some very blocked up carbs (from running the tank on Reserve to compete the one hour without a fuel stop) so he was back up and running for the CR Marualn day just passed. HOWEVER, it appears we now have no electircs at all. Turn the ignition key, and ...

The first rule about stalking is... we don't talk about who we're stalking.
The second rule about stalking is... WE DON'T TALK ABOUT WHO WE'RE STALKING.
The third rule of stalking is... if it's your first time stalking, you have to stalk.

Re: Intro but not much of a noob

Didn't go to Tassie - only Melbourne. Was a borrowed trailer, borrowed at the last minute.

My own trailer, which I have now... has 3 very suitable light truck tyres :0. Tows very nicely.

Re: Intro but not much of a noob

Less working on it and more using it as a stand for many, many items. Just a long list of shit to fix with it.
Namely: the alternator is rooted, which is a bastard of a job on that era gixxer. It also used 1.2L of oil at Wakefield in November - all entirely sucked down on overrun. So the valve stem ...

Re: Intro but not much of a noob

If by which you mean the trackday on the 28th, nah, will have some work shenanigans on then. Wackyfield 22nd July looking promising on both MIZ's RGV250 and my Monster, though.

Not sure how much chance I'll get to do EC till around late Sept :(.
