Its interesting to see the instrument bracket on the 1st bike, looks exactly the same as the one my dad made up.

When we got the bike it had 2 Rod Tingate alloy tanks, stamped Tingate Racing, around a kangaroo. The tanks were in bad shape, so we took them to Rod and he made up new tanks ...

The only bike wreckers I know, on coreen ave, has shut down for good.
Liverpool bike wreckers is in emu plains, which is right next to 'the rith'

So did you end up swapping the front end on ur 650?

Seem to hear that story alot Rustyas, GTs and Monaros given away for a case of beer haha
I'd hate to see my dad give this bike up just because he can't ride it all the time. But maybe it will enable him to do/get something else he'll enjoy more..

The second pictures I posted were before it was finished. Yeah heard all about Rods work, and life as a gp mechanic. Went to his place many years ago to get these tanks made up.
What were the Rickmans in the 70s, compared to bikes on the market today like? I mean what bike today is like what the ...

You're right, its a 1980 F1, only has single disk and drum rear though? I bought it off an old dude in Ulladulla who had owned it for 9 years. He was a boiler marker, though no mechanic...

Yeah the Rickman looks better in person (and mine worse), my dad is a perfectionist and likes to fabricate ...

has 2 Tingate alloy tanks, 1 for a two up option with different seat and tail
