about to buy some braided brake lines. are there any brands i should avoid or are they generally all the same????
MCA sell the Goodrich brand... but seem pricey. about $200.

Did you put a new kit in the MC?
no new kit. i inspected the piston it looked good , no pitting etc... and the rubber seal looked ok, but thinking about it now the seal did seem quite hard. your right rob, a good place to start. which parts should i replace in the MC?

Front brake problem
Hi all,
got a problem with the front brakes, hope you can help.
recently I have replaced the seals in the front calipers, pulled the master cylinder apart and cleaned it up. didn't replace the brake pads they looked ok.
i reassembled the whole lot changed the brake fluid, bled the system thoroughly ...

I spoke with a couple of kwaka dealers ( one had no idea and no interest ). the helpful guy whose been around kawasaki for a while assured me that the engine numbers were just a sequencial thing and meant nothing, and as Jonno said was a number pertaining to all B models. Still not convinced.

what exactly are you trying to *decode* mate ? Its just a production number. Kawasaki used to use a certain range of numbers within certain model years, but your compliance plate should have that info on it......
