[Pics] Latest race bike parts zx7

Hi guys,

thought I'd show some pics of my new quick access clutch covers and my shallow sumps, lock up clutch and lectron carbs. These parts are going on my zx7 based drag bike. I thought they turned out pretty good, I might pop the clutch covers in the mill and mill a shallow "ZX7" logo or ...

Re: 96-03 clutch slave cylinder specs?

Ended up making a new outboard bearing plate to get the stock slave cylinder to work, see picture below. Would still be interested in a cable clutch though?

Re: Dragbike ZX7 first burnout

Finally got around to making a engine plate that supported the output shaft whilst not getting in the way of the stock hydrualic clutch slave cylinder:

Dragbike ZX7 first burnout

Hi Guys,

finally got the zx7 to a point where I could test a burnout. Nothing too exciting, only a first gear skid - but its progress none the less. Next up is some nitrous-free track testing then the gas gets added

96-03 clutch slave cylinder specs?

Hi Guys,

after being stuffed around waiting for a custom slider clutch to be built for my zx7 racebike, I have got to the point where I need to put it on the track to test some things whilst I wait longer for the race clutch. Everything else is ready to go, I just dont have a way of engagin ...

Re: Dragbike first start up

Yep, its a complicated little beast the WON Max Extreme. Very smooth hits compared to american products.

The gas and the fuel will continue to come out for a split second after the max cuts the solinoids, but if anything, the gas will stop before the fuel does. The two solenoids are exactly the ...

Re: Dragbike first start up

Thanks for the reply.
The nitrous is added via these stainless discharge tubes (fires straight into the carbs) and the fuel is added via the red tubes after the carbs. It's a pulsed system with a single stage (only need one stage when you progressively add the gas). It's controlled by a Wizards of ...

Maximus- at most, 150hp direct port will be going in.

Born green- I know all those names, been in the sport for 28 years! Yep, Bill started off with an incredibly tough street kwaka, been racing them ever since.

Here is a recent article on my racing history:

Re: Dragbike first start up

Yes - I know the bike, was quite a weapon! Must admit, didn't know he ran the first 200, thought it was Pommie Pete on either a Fat cat bike or a Bill Curry machine? Could have my records confused though.

215mph on a fuel bike is quite good fun. Here is a video of my 6.75:
