I was riding a zxr250 and popped this awsome mono.... went so far up the tail scraped and i almost lost it but saved just in time... and then was hit by a truck and i woke up. Awsome dream though.

$1000 now and get 12 months out of it and have the money to upgrade to a nice ZX6r or ZZR750.

or new 250 and have to stay on it for 2-3 years cause you cant afford a bigger bike. not quite. Either way, I wont be able to afford to upgrade. If i spend the grand on this bike fixing it, I wont see ...

considering the age (14 years) who knows what else they will find wrong with it once they start pulling it apart.

agree or disagree on cost? Im mechanicly retarded, but went through it with a friend and he reckons its probably around right. Its not worth spending more than $500 - $600 on fixing it.

how long do you think you'll keep it for? and how long till restrictions end :) nah i wouldnt get an actual new bike, just an almost new one.
Ive only just got on my Ps so still another year to go. I think I might keep it for 2 years though because of where I am career ...

my bike is only worth $2200 when running so spending 1000 on it to get it running again simply isnt worth it.

I am very very sad, my 250 died (quoted $1000 to fix it :shock: )


So now im in the market for a new bike!
Im still on restrictions for another year, so Im after a 250.

Old faithful was a gpx, which i found really comfortable. I do alot of touring with work & have back problems, so a fully lent ...
