I have seen the stats, can email them to anyone who wants to take a look. The weekend warriors that come down and wipe themselves out aren't doing the image of motorcycling any good at all.

Lorne hospital is only a very small hospital and it simply can't cope with the motorcycle traffic as well as the rest of a normal hospitals routine week after week.

11 motorcyclists wiped themselves out to some extent or another last weekend. A lot of them come from Melbourne, are knackered by the time they get to the GO Road and hence wipe themselves out before too far down the road.

Was talking to the chairman of Barwon roadsafe today actually about it :)

Yeah.. that stretch from Melbourne to geelong is inducing fatique to rider. I think the speed limit needs to be increased to 200 or so. That will cut down the road toll in GOR

Mate ya got me buggered i didnt rate that road as particulary dangerous at all and would love to see some statistics.

Had a few bends in it and a bit of armco and some volvo drivers that wouldnt use the turnouts but i didnt see any real nasty bits.

Couldnt be a 11 bike pileup? I leave a lot of room betweeen me ad the guy in front so i can roll up and point and laugh if they fall off and might even offer a baind aid or sumthing.

Make sure you go to the pub at port campbell for dinner thats the important thing. :D :D :D
If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?

Don't kid yourself, the vast majority of motorcycle accidents on twisty roads are single vehicle accidents caused by inappropriate speed. I'm into going fast as much as the next bloke, but you've gotta admit they have a point...
